Three beauties on our first night in PR - Marion, Nancy, and Anita.

sblossom@sohu.com: Although they are different in skin's colour,I can see some common from their smiles. It makes me believe smile from heart is the most beautiful in the world.    (2003.07.31 22:56)

2003.02.28 21:22
Jason and Marion out on the town.

2003.02.28 22:46
In old San Juan we stopped in for some late night grub and hookah smoking at Tantra.

2003.02.28 22:48
We chose apricot flavored tobacco for our hookah - it was very tasty!

2003.02.28 22:50
Everyone enjoyed a few puffs ...

2003.02.28 23:01
Outside the restaurant, as we waited for a cab, we climbed onto a water fountain.

2003.02.28 23:02

2003.03.01 08:05
We stopped in at an open air market in San Juan for some grub on our way to El Yunque.

2003.03.01 08:21

2003.03.01 10:27
As we drove through El Yunque various scenic spots beckoned ...

2003.03.01 10:32
This is the view north to the coast from atop a tower on a mountain in the El Yunque rain forest.

2003.03.01 10:44
Windows on the way up the tower ...

2003.03.01 10:44

2003.03.01 10:47
As we left Jason stopped to examine some flowers and noticed a leaf bug in the middle of the plant ... can you see it?

2003.03.01 11:24
A typical rain forest scene.

2003.03.01 11:26
At the end of our hike we found a waterfall and natural pool and plenty of people enjoying it.

2003.03.01 11:30
Nancy and Anita contemplate taking a dip.

2003.03.01 11:30
Nancy's not looking too sure ...

2003.03.01 11:32
The water's too cold, this is as far as I'm going! And besides, who knows what creepy things are in that water ...

2003.03.01 11:32
The waterfall was quite lovely.

2003.03.01 11:40
A well deserved rest from the hike.

2003.03.01 11:40
What's our next move?

2003.03.01 11:41
How about a group photo!

2003.03.01 11:43

2003.03.01 13:24
Next stop - the beach!

2003.03.01 13:25
This beach was alot dirtier than the one outside of our hotel room in Condado, San Juan ...

2003.03.01 13:25
Do you think we should really go for a swim?

2003.03.01 13:25
Here, I'll help you in ...

2003.03.01 13:25
Doesn't look so bad from here ... the water's very calm ...

2003.03.01 13:26
Some kids were burying their friend in the sand. He seemed to be enjoying it until they started throwing sand in his face ...

2003.03.01 13:28
How's the water, Nancy?

2003.03.01 13:28
You might want to go a little further out before you try that ...

2003.03.01 13:28

2003.03.01 19:39
Nancy found a perfectly-sized chair after our meal at Ajillo Mojillo.

2003.03.02 09:06
Touring the streets of Old San Juan.

2003.03.02 09:20
It was a windy day and there were many people flying kites on the lawn in front of the fort. We flew a kite too but didn't get any photos.

2003.03.02 10:17
Nancy's trying on Bryan's new hat.

2003.03.02 12:16
This is the view from the entry tunnel of the fort in Old San Juan.

2003.03.02 12:25
Here's some of the crew inside the fort.

2003.03.02 12:27
Nancy drools over the accoutrements of the fort's ancient kitchen.

2003.03.02 12:46

2003.03.03 11:14
Jason gazes longingly at the last beach of our Puerto Rican vacation ...

2003.03.03 12:57
The beach at Isle Verde.

2003.03.03 12:57
We had a very relaxing final day at this beach.

2003.03.03 12:59
Typical - Nancy's making faces, Marion's reading, and Jason's gabbing on his cell phone. Oh and Bryan's taking the picture ...

2003.03.03 12:59
She's got all the equipment needed for a fun day at the beach.

2003.03.03 13:00
Palm trees frame a blue (much bluer in real life than in this photo) Puerto Rican sky.

2003.03.03 13:00

2003.03.03 13:00

2003.03.03 13:27
This strange man waved his arms in various directions at the horizon for a couple of hours before finally going in for a swim. We were told by a local that this man follows the same ritual every day. Who knows why ...

2003.03.03 13:27
Another crazy on the beach.

2003.03.03 13:36
He's still at it.

2003.03.03 13:49
Later on the beach combers came out with their metal detectors looking for the day's take.

2003.03.03 13:49
Alot's happening in this photo. The metal detector guy is scanning away while our hero makes strange repetitive gestures at the sea. And a bird just happened to be caught flying by.

2003.03.03 14:59
The perfect ending to the last fantastic day of a wonderful trip.
